happened for a few seasons now, need consistency

Simple editing, good job media team, simplicity is often best. 56 goals, we scored about this many last season and look at the difference in positions

In probably the worst result of the season, Richarlison’s overhead against Norwich was a brilliant goal. Probably my 4th fave after Mykolenko, Townsend (Burnley) and Gray (Arsenal).

Pickford vs Chelsea. One of the greatest saves ever made! Exaggerating? Take a closer look at how he was able to beat out a rocket close range shot because of his instinctive positioning behind the line in a split second!

You must be very young. Kick on? Please! I have been wishing that since 1989 and only got an FA Cup in 1995 to show for it - but ill be there every week until they put me in the ground. That said, lower expectations sometimes works. I spent from after the Wimbledon game in 1994 until 2004 content just to stay up.

Three reasons: (a) Injuries; (b) Covid - teams got fixtures rearranged in December when we would have eaten them up. Later they had their players back and were stronger - Newcastle and Burnley; and most importantly (c) our squad wasn't actually as good as you seem to think it was. Defensively it was Championship standard when YM wasn't available which was most of the time - goes back to (a) above. Offensively it was mid table at best and threadbare when either DCL or Richarlison weren't available (and thank God R was most of the time). The goals for column bears that out.
