Definitely a underated striker strong tall but also good technique could score goals with both feet and scored some cracking goals against some of the best defender's and keepers in the world.. if he was at a top team getting alot of chances he would have scored alot more but on his day your man unt ect defence couldn't stop him

Some great assists by Hinchcliffe, also what is it about that playing against Wimbledon in the 90s Ferguson had one here and other world class goals Vs them included Yeboah, Beckham,Cantona....

Boy, have I missed having Hinchcliffe take our corners - especially with Dunc ready to pounce. The curve was insane, and it felt like it was going to be dangerous every single time. But James+DCL seem to be bringing that piece of magic back again. Feels good to be blue! 💙

A massive legend. He dominated every centre-back and connected with the fans. He was sent off a few times but on his day, he was unplayable.

unstoppable on his day. And brought far more than goals. Could lead the line alone against two centre backs and his hold up play was fantastic.

He used to play for Dundee United in Scotland.

I was at his pro debut, came on as a sub at Ibrox, Darren Jackson scored 2 in a 2-1 Utd win, Coisty got the other.

Duncan Ferguson, great number 9 in the long line of great Everton centre-forwards.

Better off showing the fixture and date before the goal goes in, hard to concentrate the way it is

Imagine your first Everton goal being in the Merseyside Derby, you can never leave a club after that, Everton was in his heart after that

Injuries obviously played a big part in Big Dunc's career. He only averaged 6 league goals per season in the 10 he spent at Everton(1994-98 and 2000-06). The only period that he had a good strike record was as a young lad at Dundee United

One of (my) all time favourites managed the same number of league goals in his full Everton career as the immortal WRD scored in one season. Goes to show how short of club icons we're nowadays. 🙃

In his first spell between 1994 and 1998 he was almost unplayable. Crying shame was the niggly injuries and the totally unnecessary jail sentence (something I'm sure he regrets deeply looking back now) I have no doubt if Duncan had managed 35 games in that 1995/96 season we would have got European football and Duncan 20 goals playing in that Joe Royle team that had Kanchelskis and Limpar side created shit loads of chances.

No , strangely, he played in the qualifiers, he should have got picked, Scottish manager didn’t rate him for some reason
