EPL is fixed so they can have more viewers. If Man City wins the next 3 premierships no one on the planet will watch the EPL. Man Utd was the EPL cash cow and could compete against European super clubs in revenue and attendance. This year they wanted to knock Man City off its perch and creating a more competitive season that the rest of the world will watch and with Spurs new stadium and Ange Pos there options were to make Spurs and Arsenal in contention and keep Liverpool at bay so they don’t run away with the league. Look up Everton vs Man City last years hand ball VAR is rigged.

@@mariohabjan967I'm sad to say that I agree with you. It seems to me that the EPL is desperate to help Arsenal. I'm an Everton fan, so I've got no skin in the game, but Liverpool should have had a penalty last year against Arsenal (at The Emirates) and again this year (at Anfield). They got neither. Arteta had a massively over-the-top rant after Newcastle beat Arsenal by a controversial goal & the EPL decided not to charge him for abuse of officials because the Arsenal owner publicly backed Arteta's words. To your point about City, I counted maybe 6 players surrounding the referee to demand a penalty when the ref deemed it not to be. I thought that was against the rules? When Silva scored, Branthwaite could have pulled him down. If he'd been a City defender, they'd have given a yellow card (like they did for Ederson recently), but you know they'd have given him a red tonight.

You also say that jack Harrison wasn’t good enough too. Regardless of him scoring the goal, he was in poor positions for most of the game and Man City exploited that. I mean no disrespect. I saw what I saw. When it came to the build-up of plays, he was doing all the little things right. But when it came to pressing and guarding in a zone he was too slow to react and the awareness (which showed on offense) wasn’t there. Luckily this is something he can get better at because it just comes down to tactics and not actual skill. On to the next game! UTFT!

Isn't it strange how they didn't give a blatant handball by Rhodri a few seasons back for Everton to have a pen just to keep the title race exciting but yet they gave that tonight ...sad now seeing players crowding the ref shouting go to var ...the league is pointless now it's all about the sides who was going to leave for the super League it's so blatant

If only he actually went to VAR himself he might have considered the circumstances i.e.blocking his face, shot either hitting Onana's body or flying over the Bar, certainly wasn't going in as some city aligned ex refs and pundits said.

Sean Dyche was left bemused by a penalty decision that went against Amadou Onana during his side’s 3-1 defeat by Manchester City, saying he felt he was “on a different planet” to the game’s lawmakers.

The penalty decision was wrong. The ball was blasted in the hand of the falling Onana. His hand was not in an unnatural position. Still imo footballing wise Everton were tonight mostly chasing shadows, already in some stages in the first half, and especially in the second half. We didn't have enough composure on possession and lacked the usual attacking impetus which has normally brought us many goal scoring oppotunities. Hopefully we get our act together next Saturday away at Wolves.

I'm an Evertonian, but it was a handball by Onana. It was a 100% penalty. Why he has to go down in the box is a mystery, and with his hands up in the air. I think overall, Onana cost us the game, he was woeful.

It's a clear penalty, look where Onana's arm is, it isn't in a natural position and he's deliberately making himself bigger by raising his arm in anticipation of the shot. It's no surprise that Dyche is moaning about it, he moans about every little thing even if he's wrong. I don't know why he bothers complaining so much after the match, nothing can be changed, he's just wasting his own time and everybody else's.
