I have been an Evertonian for 53 years. To see how this team is fighting this year makes me happy. Not happy to see them lose, but this Everton is at least not rolling over and taking it without a fight. This game was a joy to watch.

That third goal was criminally underrated. The build up play was sensational and if it was any team in the top 6 it would be all over Sky.

Mafe up for every single toffee and the players more so for Beto as the passion he shows at our club is immense , one game at a time everyone one at a time

There's a real togetherness about this squad now. The feel good factor has returned, for club and fans alike. Hoping this festive period brings more goodies to all toffees everywhere - and here's hoping this smallish squad can avoid any new long term injuries. C O Y B ..... "Everton since '67" .....

@@johnnorth5824 Newcastle's frontline cost 130 million pounds. Our entire back four cost us less than 20 million. Only 4 players in our squad cost more than 4 million, compared to 10 for Newcastle. Every team gets injuries - we didn't have our 2 starting midfielders, and had to play a 38 year old Ashley Young out of position. Newcastle were beaten fair and square - maybe a little bit more oil money will help for next time!

What an atmosphere!!! I guess it’s been so long since we’ve seen this kind of team spirit in an Everton team it means so much more to the fans and even the squad it’s clear to see how much they work for each other.

Fighting spirit is definately here under Shaun and was shown against NUFC I think that Newcastle were fatigued in the late stages, But Everton have some good players and a good manager, after MAN CITY and Chelsea get away without a points deduction. I am rooting for Everton, after all I am a Sunderland fan and Goodison and Roker Park were so similar.. Support us when we take on the Mags on January 6th alongside your goalkeeper ...

Best thing about that 3rd goal was Gordon charging over from the left wing to try and stop the ole’s, getting nowhere near it and then Everton switching it over to that wing to create the goal, hilarious 😂
